A Happy New Year

Hi everybody!

On the 31st of December Chrisi and I drove to Linz. It is the cultural capital of europe 2009. We we standing on a wall in front of the Danube (river) that we can see the big fireworks. There were 30 000 people. We drank 2 bottles of sparkling wine and a few beers and celebrated the year 2009 at the big "Hauptplatz" with live music.
We were in a very good mood and started speaking english.
At 4 0' clock in the morning we asked a young man, where we can get typical austrian food. We probably spoke so good because everybody spoke english with us. We talked with a few people. Two hours later we asked people where the taxis are. We knew it of course but we wanted to check if they show us the right way. We did like we were tourists. It was great fun.
Finally at 5 we took the tram to the railway station and we got a taxi there. We were at home at half 5 and in bed at 6.
We got up at 11 in the morning and I drove home. I was really tired but hadn't time to sleep because I had to go to my grandparents to wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR and drink again and eat a self made cake from my granny. So, I went to bed at 10 in the evening.

A day skiing

Hi there!
I feel well and was skiing with a friend of mine today. We drove 1 hour by car and arrived 9 at the skiing region. We queued at the cable railway. We tried a few slopes but some were really icy. Most of the lifts are t-bar lifts. Sandra and I had great fun. We had dinner in a typical schi hut at 12.00 and from 1 to 4 pm we were skiing. It was very cool and a sunny but freezing day. We had -15°C in 2000 meter hight.

Back at home I was wrecked and went straight to bed and watched TV.

Holiday at home in bed

Hi !

Toby and I were alone at home and nobody could hear the alarm clock ringing and so overslept. I finally woke and Toby had 5 minutes to get ready to go the bus station. He ran and I went back to bed because I am toally sick now with fever. I can't meet my friends..... it's horrible. Staying in bed is soooooo boring. I hope that all the drugs make the flu go away otherwise I have to go to the doctor. I definitly don't want to be sick at christmas.
So all I did was calling my friends on the phone and chatting with them hours, reading, sleeping, internet surfen, drinking and taking drugs.
NOTHING THAT I PLANNED TO DO THE WEEKS AT HOME !!!

I couldn't even visit my granddad in hospital, who was operated the 4th time and he has an other tomorrow.

Let's see what I am doing tomorrow.

Snow is fun

Hello everybody.......

Yesterday morning my granny and I visited my graddad in hospital. He was weak and had an other operation today. At 3 in the afternoon my dad came home and he picked Toby and me up and we drove to the big shopping center. I want back to Dundrum because it is close and really handy =) Back at home we chatted and spent time with my dad.


I got up at 6.00 in the morning and woke Toby, made lunch for him and sent him to the bus station. He was gone and I went back to bed. It started snowing and a few hours later everything was covered in snow. The roads were slippery and I had to drive to the shops. It was the first time after 3 months that I drove a car. Sometimes when I turned into an other small road I wasn't sure on which side I should drive.
At 1.00 I went to my granny to have dinner. I wasn't hungry. I had "Nockerl with ham and cheese" Yummy. I chatted with her and told her about my time in Irland and lots more. Afterwards I had a little rest and Murphy my cat was lying on the floor beside my bed. Toby came home at 5.00 from school and did his homework.

It is freezing cold outside and my cold is getting worse instead of getting better. Hopefully I get rid of it until christmas.

I miss my hostfamily and I am looking forward to seeing all of them after christmas.

Austria I am coming

Hi everywhere!

My day started at 5 in the morning when I heard the alarm ringing. I don't want to get up, I am sooooo tired. I got myselfe ready and had a quick cup of tea before my hostdad took me to the airport. Thanks for that. At first I felt a bit lost at the big hall had to read all signs to find the right way. It was no problem. I went through the security check in and I didn't know that I have to take my shoes of and put it into the tray so it started biiiiieeeeeping.
Finally I waited for one hour in front of the gate because the flight to London Stanstead was delayed.
I arrived in Stanstead around 10 a.m. and went all the way to the exit. All I wanted now was to check in the second flight to Linz and have something to eat.

I tried to check in at the machine but it didn't work. "Your flight is not avaliable" I tried it a few times then gave up and asked a ryanair staff for help. She told me to pay an airport fee otherwise the check in won't work. I couldn't understand why and wanted a propper answer from her but she turned around and walked off. Other passengers had the same problems and the man started complaining about it. All the woman said was "I am just working here and I am not here to hear peoples complaints.

All I had to do was going all the way back to get the money changed. I waited there for half an hour. Then I went back to the ryanair point and there was a very long queue. I had to wait there for 1 hour to pay that f....... 8 pounds. It was 12.30 when I finished my check in. Thank god that there weren't many people waiting for the security check in and so I walked all the way to the gate. I had to hurry because it closed at 1.00. I arrived at the gate in time but was one of the last passenger. I DID IT !!

I was sooooooo hungry. I had a seat in the very last row in the plane and they didn't have one sandwich left for me. I had a short sleep to get my mind off being hungry. When I looked out of the window I could see the alps all covered in snow.

We landed at the airport and Mum and Toby picked me up. Both of them were happy to see me, and so was I. It was very emotional. Toby started talking and telling me everything that happened in the last few months. Irish people would say "He talked for Ireland" *smile* =)

Back at home I got a chocolate cake, my mum made. Yuuuummmmmy !!! Then I got a yucky medicine to get rid of that cold. After that my granny came and I showed them all my pictures and I wanted to know how my granddad is. We will visit him tomorrow, after taking Toby to school. I really hope they will let me in.

It was a long an exciting day and I am wrecked, so I better go to bed.

Schnupfen, Husten, Halsweh, Kopfweh ...

Nachdem ich jetzt schon ziemlich lange immer Halsweh hatte und das immer ueberdaucht habe. Irgendwer muss ja auf die Kinder aufpassen und sie von der Schule holen.
Gestern am Abend wars dann so weit, dass ich so den argen Schnupfen bekam, dass ich keine Luft durch die Nase mehr bekam. In der Nacht kam dann noch der Husten dazu.
Als ich dann am Morgen aufgewacht bin und auf Ally aufpassen musste, war ich dann voellig krank und hatte auch noch Kopfweh.

Ich wollte aber nicht aufstehn und mit ihr hinunter gehen, somit habe ich sie in mein Bett geholt, den Fernseher aufgedreht und sie 2 Stunden fernsehen lassen. Dann sind wir hinunter gegangen und ich hab ihr Toast mit Butter gemacht. Ich habe mich angezogen und dann Ally angezogen und frisiert. Ich habe dann mit ihr gespielt und dann eine Zeit Computerspielen lassen.

Jetzt um halb 3 kommt dann meine Hostmum heim mit Katy und dann darf ich mich 1 Stunde ausrasten und dann von halb 4 bis 6 wieder arbeiten.
Ich werde das Fortgehen heute auslassen und lieber ins Bett gehen.

Ich hoff ich nehm euch die irische Verkuehlung nicht mit nach Hause.

Santa Claus is comming to town

Als allererstes moechte ich aber meine Waermflasche vorstellen. Benni der Hund. Ich bin flauschig und habe immer einen warmen Bauch wenn man mir heisses Wasser zu trinken gibt. Dann waerme ich Raphi, wenn ihr wiedermal sehr kalt ist. Ich darf auch bei ihr im Bett schlafen.
Da sie zur Zeit einen Schnupfen und Husten hat, werde ich sie waermen. Wenn sie dann in 3 Tagen nach Oesterreich auf Urlaub faehrt, hab ich ein Doppelbett fuer mich alleine. =)


Hallo an alle daheim, die fleissig meinen Blog verfolgen. Jetzt ist es bald so weit, dass ich nach Hause komme. Ich freue mich schon darauf.

Aber es sind noch 3 Tage, die ich arbeiten darf und mit meinen beiden Santas verbringe. Sie freuen sich schon extrem auf Weihnachten und koennen es schon garnicht mehr erwarten, Geschenke zu bekommen. Wie es da hald so ueblich ist, steht der Christbaum schon geschmueckt seit Anfang Dezember und die Geschenke liegen auch schon darunter. Sehr verlockend fuer Ally sie zu oeffnen. Leider ist es kein echter Christbaum. :(
